Summer Opportunity: Schweitzer Corps
For those looking to get involved in the Fellowship, but don't attend our consortium schools or are too early in their studies to apply, we have a spectacular opportunity for you: The Schweitzer Corps!
What: The Schweitzer Corps will build organizational capacity with a focus on communications, marketing, and community engagement areas to bring attention to the unmet health needs of Houston’s vulnerable populations. The Corps will generate support for the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship which creates opportunities for Fellows to develop year-long community service projects and work with underserved communities to build healthier lives.

Where: 100% virtual-- all meetings will occur virtually except for optional ones that we invite the Schweitzer Corps to attend

Examples of opportunities:

Working with our team to accomplish goals in our strategic plan such as,

Assisting staff in engaging with our FFL community​

Utilizing data to drive curriculum development and evaluation
-

Capturing footage of our Fellows on-site at their projects and creating video content to be distributed to stakeholders
-
Honing communication skills through the creation of press releases and building relationships with media outlets
-
Gaining skills in web development through various marketing and design implementations
-

Attend all monthly meetings during the months you are a part of the Schweitzer Corps​

Attend the Celebration of Service in September 2023

Attend the ASFHG Day of Service in January 2024

Attend an Evening of Difference in May 2024
